How to Keep Your Light On When the World Is Falling Apart
Learning to hear, to listen and to discern, in order to stay aligned.
The world is reeling, and our bearings with it. In the turmoil, our inner light flickers without our even noticing. This talk is about what keeps it burning.
The talk, in the room
A morning in Sainte-Thérèse, in front of a full room, followed by a book signing. This is what the talk looks like in person.

Sainte-Thérèse, 20 September 2026
When everything wavers, what holds firm?
There are times when the world seems to be capsizing. The news piles up, certainties fall away, worry spreads from one person to the next. And without ever choosing it, we start to absorb all of it. The light does not go out all at once. It dims, gently, day after day.
This talk does not ask you to close your eyes to what is happening. It offers something else, a way to stay fully present to the world without losing yourself in it. Three inner movements are enough, and each one builds on the one before.
Hear
Taking in what reaches us, the words, the news, the fears in the air, and recognising that all of it truly passes through us.
Listen
Choosing what we give our attention to, rather than letting it be taken. Listening is already deciding what we let in.
Discern
Telling what belongs to us from what does not, the true from the noise. That is where we find our alignment again, and where the light comes back on.
“To make the shadow disappear, simply turn on the light.”

The book Lighthouse in the Storm
This talk extends the message of the book. A lighthouse does not stop the storm, it does not calm the sea and it does not change the wind. It stands firm, and its light is enough to guide those at sea. That is exactly what this is about.

Getting through it and still standing
Life brings its share of challenges and difficult situations. Pascal is there to guide, to reach out and to listen, but above all to help us face these situations better. He helps us see life differently, and lets us find, on our own, the tools within ourselves to reach peace, joy and detachment. The meditation training I took with Pascal was an extraordinary complement. It is one more tool I now have in my life, one that helps me find strength and answers within myself whenever a difficulty comes up, big or small!
Pascal is an exceptional coach. Thanks to his many metaphors and his rich, inspiring life experience, he makes accessible the subjects we hardly dare to approach. He brings us back to what is essential, the art of finding our inner peace again and vibrating with love and awareness.
